Jarah currently resides in Shippenville with her husband, Nathan, and their son, Brooks. She and her husband both grew up in Knox and attended Keystone Jr./Sr. High School. Jarah is the daughter of Dianne (Lauffer) Heeter and the late Craig Heeter of Knox. Her grandparents are Twila Heeter of Knox and the late Wendell Heeter, Maxine Lauffer and John H. Lauffer. Nathan’s parents are Belinda Reed and the late Donald (“Flub”) Reed of Knox.
Jarah is involved in various community organizations. She serves on the board of directors of the Mrs. Claus Club of Knox and is former Vice President of the board of Stop Abuse for Everyone (SAFE). She is a member of the University’s Legal Studies Advisory Board, Order of Eastern Star and the congregation of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Shippenville.
She recently participated in the Wills for Heroes event and has assisted with the legal formation and tax exempt applications for various local non-profit organizations. As a former CYS solicitor, she has advocated for the children and families of Clarion County.
